Adoption

Adopting a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do. When you adopt, you’re not only changing a dog’s life — you’re also gaining a loyal friend who will bring joy, companionship, and unconditional love into your home.

Thinking About Adopting?

You’re in the right place! Giving a rescue animal a forever home is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have.

At Tiny Tails Rescue, we take the time to get to know every animal that comes through our doors — their quirks, needs, and cuddly habits — so we can match them with the perfect family.

Here’s how our adoption process works and what to expect along the way.

Our Adoption Process

When a new animal comes into our care, we start with the basics — a warm bath, a full belly, and lots of love. Each animal receives a comprehensive vet check to assess any medical needs such as surgeries, medications, or ongoing treatments.

From there, we focus on their overall wellbeing — caring for their medical, emotional, and behavioural needs while getting to know their unique personality. Every Tiny Tail is treated like one of our own until they’re ready to find their forever family.

When They’re Ready for Adoption

Once an animal is ready to be adopted, we share their story on our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram).

Each post includes:

  • Photos of your potential new best friend

  • A description of their personality

  • Any special needs or requirements they may have

  • A link to our Adoption Application Form

Adoption Fees

Each animal has an adoption fee, which helps cover the cost of their vet care, desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations.

These fees also provide vital funds that allow us to continue our rescue work — supporting surgeries, vet visits, and the ongoing care of our special needs and senior dogs who remain in long-term care.

Your adoption fee truly helps save more Tiny Tails.
